Default Please Help!!!

Hi all,

Can anyone help me out on models of DVD players (NOT HD or Blu-Ray
players), from Toshiba (first priority) and Sony (2nd priority),
which
must support the following 3 features:

1. Up-conversion of regular DVD resolution to 720p and 1080i.

2. Divx support.

3. Dolby Digital 5.1 analogue 6 channel audio outs (RCA type) to be
connected to Home Theatre System with 5.1 analogue inputs.

I would be much grateful to you for your kind response. Thanks in
anticipation.

N.B. The unit would be purchased from United States.

Bye

I would avoid Toshiba as they do not support all
types of media, that is they only play - types
of dvds, not + types. That is unless they have changed.

If I were you, I'd order an Oppo 981 from oppodigital.com. I own one,
and it is absolutely stellar video quality. When I'm watching a DVD
that has a really good video transfer, it looks almost like HD.
Completely jaw-dropping. It's that good. And it supports all three
features that you want. And at $229 plus shipping, it's priced really
well.

Although I'm sure there some Toshiba and Sony players that will give
you the features you want, the Oppo will blow them away from a video
viewpoint.

cheers,
vij

I second that opinion on the Oppo!
