Need help hooking up vcr to digital cable box?

I have a 4 year old Jvc vcr. The vcr has yellow/red/white inputs on
the front and back. I want to watch old tapes on the vcr. And record
programs as well.

Does the cable box not have the corresponding Yellow/Red/White outputs?
[Yellow = composite video, Red = right ch. audio, White = left ch. audio]

How are you currently connecting the cable box to your tv?

Post back what outputs your cable box has and what inputs the TV has
and I can recommend a hook up.
