Default which technology is best?

LCD, Plasma, or DLP? It's been a couple of years since I asked this and
wanted to see how the technologies have changed.

The drawback to projection is watching from the side. What is the life of
new plasma sets? What is the life of LCD bulbs?

Plasma has come a long way, dark colors are no longer a problem - at least
in the good brands.

LCD blacks remain an issue.

DLP's still offer the best value.

I have a new Mitsubishi WD-65732 DLP. The side-viewing angle is much
improved over older projection sets - check 'em out in a store before
passing them up.

DLP still offers the biggest bang for the buck!

How did you come to this conclusion? DLP sets are still more
expensive than LCDs on average.

Are you talking about LCD projection or direct view?

I got my 65" 1080p DLP for $2217 + tax... LCD direct view's aren't that
large. 720p LCD projection sets are cheaper than that, but 1080p
projection sets are much more expensive.

MSRP on the Toshiba 65HM167 (65" DLP 1080p input, 14 bit color, 3 HDMI
inputs) is $2199. Street prices are already down to $1676.95.

DLP isn't more expensive than LCD...... if you compare screen size to
screen size,
resolution to resolution.
