Personaly, I think blu-ray is the better format, since you can put more
on a disk than hddvd, but that realy doesn't mean much in this world. |

Just like BETA was a better VCR format, but lost out to VHS. It proves
marketing outweighs engineering. S "Mac Cool" wrote in message ... "Kim Groves" wrote in message t... "No highs... no lows... It MUST be Bose." But look at the tiny size and the huge price! Bose has fantastic engineering. They make ok sound come out of tiny overpriced boxes that in the hands of lesser engineers would sound really horrible. That said, my home theater sound is all JBL. Big ones... driven by a lot of power. If only my wife would let me turn it up. |

Stereo manufacurers have a trick now days to fool customers. They will
tell you that you are getting a 200 watt amp. What they really mean is; 200 watts all together. That is 100 per channel. And it is rated at peak to peak. What you actually get is about 35 watts per channel RMS. Remember when all stereo's were rated RMS? I am still using an old mcs with 33 watts per channel and the 4 channel quad. (synthesized). I would have loved to get the 75 watt unit with the equilizer, but I didn't have the bucks when I was young. mes. |

I have not seen either, but if you have a blue ray player and an HD dvd player sitting side by side on the same TV with all of the same settings, and the same movie, can you tell a difference in quality? |
