At the end of Feb/start of March I noticed that Channel 4 and Channel 5 were suddenly missing from the channels list. We have an Amstrad (silver fascia) Sky digibox, I cancelled my Sky sub last year in December. I have removed the viewing card because I was told this was not required for the free channels. Prior to this the viewing card was inserted/removed several times by my 2 year old. How can I get the missing channels back? I have tried unplugging for 30mins to reset things but it did not work. Help! Put the card back in. You might have to leave it for 24 hours before they come back. -- Regards, Stuart. |

Help! Put the card in the box the right way up and the right way round and wait a day or two with the box turned on. Remonstrate with the child. If it is a boy box its ears. Bill |

Could someone enlighten me as to why Channel 4, Five, Five US & Five Life all completely disappear from the EPG when the card is removed? All the other encrypted channels stay in the EPG (including Sky Three which is FTV like C4 and Five), you just get the message asking for the Sky card to be inserted. Why are C4 and the Five channels different? |

I believe that, while the PROGRAMMES on C4 and C5 are national, there are "regions" for the adverts and that the Sky Smartcard maps the correct region into the EPG. |

Yes, and of course don't forget that on Welsh postcode registered cards, C4 appears at EPG number 135, while S4C takes the 104 slot. -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. |

That explains the gap here in England between BBC 4 and ITV 2 :-) -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. |
