Default Sky+ for freeview

I just bought a sky+ box from ebay (pace 3100) and was hoping to use
it to pause and record freeview tv. Is this possible? I have no sky
dish at my house so I can only use the outdoor aerial.

Cheers
Allan

nope.

first you need a sky dish, secondly you need to pay £10 a month to sky.

you need a freeview recorder - plenty of those around.

You're either a troll, or out of luck.

That'll be out of luck then :-( So, if I have done my research right,
I need to get a sky dish and a freesat card. Will I be able to use
the pause/record options with this setup?
Thanks
Allan

You would be better with a TiVo. Can be used with a Freeview stb as
well as terrestrial analogue tv, cable and Sky.

You certainly will....and the moment that you stop paying for it - you loose
the recording facility immediately.

That is how tight NDS and Dr Peled (ex-Mossad Sigint) designed Sky's
encryption package.

You get nothing for nothing with Sky and they make huge profits from the
most expensive Pay-TV satellite packages in the world. All part of Rupert's
Rip-Off great britain....
