Default SKY PIN madness

This morning at 0500 I set SKY+ to copy a 15 rated film out to my
DVDrecorder.
At 0530 it stopped midway and showed a PIN request page...so I have 2 hours
of that recorded....

Why? & how can I stop it?

How can a 15 film be even needing a PIN, and how can it be suddenly needing
it at 0530?

(I've had this happen before with teletubbies, which has never been 18 rated
to my knowledge..)

for broadcasts they can't air a 15 rated film before/ after the watershed -
they say that without the pin it wouldnt be airing then anyway.
as for doing it with sky + - it's an irritation.
i did think it could now be disabled in options but i've not tried
personally.

You would have thought they could make the pin request at the time of
setting the recording. The whole point of timer record is so you can record
something when you are not there. People should not have to babysit a timer
record especially at that time of the morning :-)

Yes, I understand that they don't want kids playing back films recorded
post-watershed in family time the next day, and that I suppose a 15 film at
0530 might be seen as too raunchy for early rising children.

(Especially if they might be copying it off to DVD, perhaps so mum & dad
don't see the filth they've recorded...!)

But it should have asked for the PIN at the start, not 30 mins through.

did you try turning it off in the parental control menu? - there certainly
seems to be the option there - even if it doesnt work (not tried to find
out).
