Default Dvr problem

I have Comcast with hdtv and motorola dvr 3416. Yesterday the tv began
reading channel will be available shortly. This has been for a day
now. Last night I called Comcast and they said my signal is fine, and
sent a new signal to the box but still I cannot get tv. I am hooked up
thru hdmi, and I can watch my recordings and even make new recordings
and watch them. I just cannot watch live tv. I know it sounds like a
signal problem but what should I do?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Linda
