Default Recording problem

My sky+ box records OK when I record a programme on the same channel
that I'm watching, but when I watch one channel and try to record a
programme on a different one at the same time, the recording keeps
freezing? Or, if I'm watching and recording the same channel, but then
switch to watch a programme on a different channel while it's still
recording the first one, the channel that I switch to then keeps
freezing but the recorded one is still OK. Does this make sense to
anyone, about what's going on? I've tried rebooting and even a new
instal using the installers menu but it makes no difference. Will I
have to get a new box?

check the signal strength and quality of the two inputs (signal test under
services I think), I suspect one of them isnt working. Could be the box,
LNB, or cable or just a poor connection at the back which you could fix by
screwing back in.

Hmm,checked the signal strength and quality, seem to be OK for both
inputs (well, the bar indicator is past the half way mark, so I suppose
that means it's OK?!) and the cable connections into the box seem
tight. So it's the Sky engineers then?

There is a menu option somewhere that lets you switch the LNB off and on
again, you could try that.

Hope this isn't too late but look here. Too many posts to read. Start
about page 56 and go on from there.

If you have already had to pay for a box, you should demand a refund!
