Default Looking for opinions on Sony KDL-40V2500 LCD

I read some who say this 40 inch 1080P LCD is as good as it gets. Then I
have read some who have issues with a cloudy black level. I have always
loved CRTs but am now considering jumping into this Sony for around $2100.

I got the screen. It is a very good buy. I researched it for like 4
months before going in on it. Amazon.com seems to have the best deal

the Blacks, may want to cut the backlight, which should be adjustable,
at least on My Sharp it is!! Seems to improve the handling of the blacks in
the picture material. in my setup, if the backlight is up to high then the
blacks tend to shift a bit to the grey, charcoal effect.

Have a look at Vizio at Costco for less tham 1/2 Sony price. LCD is never
good in Black, otherwise it is excellent. I have the 37" nodel for $800
