CBS always seems blue tinted. Not on my D-ILA. All HD networks look great to me. On my JVC ILA I have 3-4 rows of small vertical lines of dots, in the middle 1/3 of the picture, to about half way up the screen. It only shows on CBS HD. Any ideas? Cable, Satellite, Off-Air ? I've seen nothing like that OTA in LA. GG I have Charter. Like I said it is only on CBS, and only on CBS HD. I is all the time, not just during the SB. |

The broadcasters are generally better at this than the cable guys. When you say blue tint, is it a little blue, a lot? Keep in mind the CSI shows have some intentional 'mood' colors. Miami tends green/yellow with hyper blue skies while New York goes blue/ gray. NCIS tends to be pretty neutral (excellent) in its look. GG |

My Sony allows for 4 independent setting scenarios I know it's a quick fix
and doesn't answer the question, but if your set has similar, why not dedicate one scenario to CBS? Then try to track it down, as advised below -- All the Best, Richard Harison "Shell" wrote in message link.net... All of the other networks seem to have warm colors. I work in the business. I work in the master control room of a CBS
afilliate. There is absoulutly nothing wrong with CBS HD. I see it every day. There is also no way we can tint the picture blue. We are just passing data from CBS (ones and zeros) Yes we can stretch 4X3 content to fill out a 16X9 screen but we refuse to do that under any circumstaces. My guess is if your afilliate found a way to tint pictures (good luck) they should be reprimanded by the network. Norm |

It is just a little blue, just ever so lightly. Gives facial color a slight
magenta (pinkish tone). Seems to dull other colas well. I'm not saying it is big time blue, but it is noticeable. "G-squared" wrote in message ps.com...
