At least Sky has the potential to attract customers if they include some of
the high profile shows like Lost , 24 etc
TitsUpTv was doomed from the start when it was just more of the same free

i really wish that terrestrial had to be reserved for non pay
channels

I don't object to *some* pay channels as long as there are a certain number
of free ones including all the "key" channels that people expect.

What a joke ...do Sky and the Murdoch crew really think that when 2
million people bought Freeview boxes in the run up to Christmas that on
Rupert's say so ,they are all going tro throw these boxes away just to get
his new "Pay-Rupert" channels in MPEG 4 with a subscription.

No - this is a bargaining chip - the threat of a spoiler for Freeview and
free-to-air DTT in advance of the analogue switch off in 2008
onwards.Why?...because the Competition Authority may well make Sky sell
the holding they bought in ITV to block Richard Branson ,Virgin and NTL
buying in to ITV.If they had to sell ,Sky would most probably make a
thumping loss.

But of course we are slowly running up to the next General Election and
Murdoch wants to see who is willing to get into bed with him this time -
Brown or Campbell.Campbell has already made clear that his is very dubious
of Murdoch....so it will be a test for Brown .Chances are the slimy Scot
will give Rupert all he wants regardless of the costs to the British
people .

Time to kick the Dirty Digger and Dirty Digger Junior in the
wallet....which party leader has the balls to do it.....

and some Sunday titles. Now if $ky and the Sun switch back Gordon would be

Today's Guardian says that Freeview viewers will have to buy a new STB
with a card slot, but makes no mention that they will have to replace
the TV set in order to watch the HD channels.
