Sky Two has started putting permanent adverts on screen during
programmes. A pity really, because until recently they were pretty
clean so I had taken to waiting for everything from Sky One to be
repeated on Sky Two so that they could be watched in peace.

Is there a list of channels that don't do this?

Yeah, BBC1 and 2, ITV 1, Channel 4 and 5 for definate (advertising on-screen
during PROGRAMMES that is)

We're getting the old "Second rate...Hang on third rate programming via
satellite", Was second but obviously third as we pay to watch adverts on
Sky!

Eventually, They'll all start doing it because they'll see the usual "Sky
get away with it so we can" chain reaction.

Sadly these days watching a programme without graffiti/adverts is having to
wait for the DVD release :-(

The only people to blame are the viewers - not the tv networks .

The lions share of viewers will put up with anything and while they
continue to watch the tv channels that do all sorts of unwanted annoying
things - then the tv channels dont have one single reason to be bothered
in the slightest .

The one and only thing tv networks understand is people changing
channels and/or switching off the tv and as that doesnt happen the tv
networks will just carry on doing anything they want because they know
the vast majority of viewers have a sheep like nature .

Unless you are one of the few ratings box families then sky will never know
you are boycotting.
