Default PVR and Sky

Living abroad and wishing to avoid extra payment for Sky+, I was told
that I could attach a dual tuner Humix PVR to my digibox. However the
Humix website say that this is impossible, Is there any PVR out there
that can do a similar job.
Sincerely
JohnM

A Dreambox will do it. You will lose the sky+ epg (and therefore series
link) and you need to like hacking, but if you can connect it to the
internet it can be made to download listings from the internet. You can
find patches to read NDS cards directly and it will stream to other PC's
on the lan.

Normally you buy them without Harddrives and insert your own. The new
one 7025 comes with a choice of tuners, either 2 Sat ones, 1 sat, one
DTT, or DVB-c if you're in a cable area.

If you go this route there are good forum sites you can look at for
help, but you should probably budget for a good week of playing before
it works to your hearts content. But then it will be way ahead of sky+..
