Just received a letter addressed to me from Sky, telling me my one year
free that I won as a prize on Virgin radio is up. No problems so far, this is indeed true. There are no 'please stay at half price offers, so I wont. But the letter itself, which is presumably computer generated, is a total mess. There are so many errors it is astonishing It is dated 21/12/2006, yet must have actually been written on 21/1/07 as it refers to my free viewing that ends 'in a month's time on 21/2/07'. It also says 'please refer to the enclosed booklet for current prices' - there is no booklet Then it says 'complete the form below to choose another package or cancel and return the slip in the envelope provided' - you guessed it, no envelope either. The tear off slip is total crap as well. It has the wrong name and wrong account number. It also quotes a price of film 4 as £7 a month. I am tempted to return this slip for a bit of fun. I presume I could really **** off Mr Jeans on account number ####### if I returned the slip asking to subscribe to ALL the quoted premium channels, such as Manure TV, Chelski TV, Artsworld and Music Choice Extra! It is signed by the Group Director of Communications. Does anyone know the format of Sky email addresses, I might forward my thoughts to him! |

You could argue that Sky and the TVaLiban should share costs / databases and work for both companies at the same time. They both serve the same functions; forcing people to pay for content and preventing them from accessing content if they don't pay up. I bet Sky could run the TVaLiban better than Crapita Plc. ;-) |

Gaz The BBC will one day be so ****ing desperate to prop up their "BBC licence fee" that they will be giving away Set Top Boxes in order to preserve their revenue, the ****s! I am told that if you let a member of the BBC Gestapo in to your house, if they see a TV in bits, they would actually plug it all back in and tune it just so they can get their "Code 8" commission of £18. ;-) |

Apparently, if they see a cardboard box in your house they also write that to the mains to create in inverted pin-hole television camera, and charge you double licence-fee for inverted viewing. And this would STILL be better value for Sky's total amount of subscriptions being spent in Non-UK programming,Dogs and other on-screen grafitti and the hoards and hoards of advertising. |

I have a Sky credit card, which gives 0% on purchases and money off my Sky bill (effectively 1% cashback), but something seems to be up with their billing system, as after three letters telling me: "...you will notice this saving on your next bill which will total 29.00" (which is correct if you overlook the missing £ sign), I had: "...you will notice this saving on your next bill which will total £83.66" "...you will notice this saving on your next bill which will total £140.80" and "...you will notice this saving on your next bill which will total £92.99" Fortunately, the amount taken by Direct Debit was always the correct amount...
