I use only nVidia cards and have not had any trouble getting that resolution
to my LCD tv from Linux. Of course I had to upgrade my ancient drivers to
get it working. Now it simply autodetects the TV (1366x768) and the
Mitsubishi projector (1280x720) in their native resolution. This works with
a Geforce FX-5200 and FX-5700.

Thanks Anthony Fremont for your encouraging reply!
Through what: d-sub or DVI, does it autodetect the TV (1366x768) and
the Mitsubishi projector (1280x720) in their native resolution?
Will LG 26LX1R work the same as your TV with the cards?
Best regards,
Dima

Dear Anthony,
To which drivers had you to upgrade your drivers?
Best regards,
Dima

Which Nvidia card do you use? Is it also a video capture card like ATI All
in Wonders?

The Vizio TV is connected via the 15 pin D-sub connector. The projector is
connected via a DVI to HDMI adapter. Both are autodetected at the native
resolution.

I have no idea, it depends upon your video card, the drivers and the DDC
information the LG TV provides to the video card.

I am using nVidia drivers for Linux version 1.0.8776. There are probably
newer drivers available, but this is what was current on my Gentoo Linux
box. They work great with kernel version 2.6.18.

Best regards,
Dima

Hello Richard!
I use ATI All-in Wonder 128. But I'm choosing a newer card.
