Default Sky's Stargate SG-1 episode blunder?

Today's SkyOne Stargate SG-1 episode was called "Line in the Sand".

Last week's episode was called "The Quest Part 2 of 2".

The problem is that there should be two episodes between these two
programmes. And it looks like that a key character has been killed
off in the missing episodes.

Thank you Sky! Idiots!

What is SkyOne's complaint number? I'm finding it hard to find
anything useful at Sky's website.

I smelled a rat about five minutes in, when it was clear they were
talking about possessing an item they didn't have at the end of 'The
Quest'!

The Quest Part II was episode 11 of this season, and 'Line in the
Sand' was episode 14.

According to Digiguide, episode 12, 'Bounty', is due to be shown on 6
February, with epsidoe 13 the week after!

I'll try getting an email off to them myself and hopefully they can
get things back on track next week...

Must admit that I thought the same, although
http://www.darkhorizons.com/tv/sg-s10.php states the episodes are
contiguous. MGM and SciFi don't have episode guides up yet.

What do you think the two missing episodes should have been?

btw the Sky link is at
http://www.skyone.co.uk/programme/pg...mme.aspx?pid=6 and the forums
are on fire with the mistake.

Of course nothing can be definitive as Sky are wold-premiering the series

How do you know this for certain? Yes, I've seen that some websites list
them, sure, but aren't we in the UK getting the worldwide premiers of
each episode now? As such, surely the episode order is only revealed
when Sky show each episode. Anything on a website must be "subject to
change"?

The character "Daniel Jackson" seems to be dead (or at least "lost")
and it happened in those missing episodes.

The epguides.com site contains a note on its Atlantis guide about some
episodes being switched around, and last week the episode order switched
around on my TiVo's To Do list for the next few weeks to match the new
sequence. Perhaps there was a tie-in to SG-1 which necessitated SG-1's
order being changed too...

Thanks, but see above note...the chronology is all messed up now and
we've missed one of the most important events in SG-1. Oh well.

All I know is that Jackson is "lost" which could mean he's dead.
Since I haven't watched those missing episodes it's hard to
say...certainly something major has happened to Jackson.

Why? Sky are the ones who have screwed up the schedule. Or didn't you
get the point of the post?

Had this from Sky today...

Thank you for your e-mail about "Stargate SG1".

I was concerned to read of your dissatisfaction with the episode
broadcast
on Tuesday 16/01/07. Please allow me to explain. Episodes are shown
in the
order they are received form the Distributor. The episode Bounty is
scheduled to broadcast on Tuesday 06/02/07 at 8pm.

I trust I have been able to assist with your enquiry. If you require

So...it looks like it wasn't Sky's fault.
And it may well be that the episode WAS in the correct order (see the
Sky forums linked from elsewhere in this thread).

But if that's the case, then a fair bit of time has passed since the
events of 'The Quest' part II, and SG1 don't seem all that bothered
about Daniel any more.

And the one other thing that's really bugging me is that at the end of
The Quest II, I thought Daniel was left behind in the company of
Adria, but that the rest of the team escaped through the gate without
taking anything with them...

(and here's a spoiler warning in case someone didn't watch 'Line in
the Sand')...

.... but Line in the Sand starts with the team returning from a test of
'Merlin's weapon'! We soon find out a bit about how it works, when Sam
explains it to a villager, but I would have thought that we'd have
seen more of the team discussing how the weapon worked, and testing
it, before it's used in practise.
If the ep is in the correct place, then it's an odd bit of
writing/continuity.

For my part, I've still not watched it all!

The previous episode shown, had Jackson captured by the Ori. The last
you saw of him, he was on an Ori ship. I would say that saying he is
"lost" is quite appropriote and quite major. This episode WAS shown on
$ky.

It would appear to be the case! If you look at the storyline from that
link, it would appear the technology used in Tuesdays episode is shown
to them by the anchiants in 2 episodes time! Thats supposition - but
would explain an awful lot. Where else did this phase shifting gear
come from?

Having read some of the posts on the forum at...

http://www.skyone.co.uk/programme/pg...mme.aspx?pid=6

I see that the weapon used in 'Line in the Sand' is something Sam came
up with last season. I can't remember it, but that's probably just
age...

There's also this comment from a poster called Sheppard, who I hope
won't mind me quoting him here.

'If you read this excerpt from sg1 solutions it should clear it up
further:
''The online schedule for the remainder of the season listed the
following episodes in their production order and not what has been
stated by those inside the production as the correct airing order.
After seeing “The Quest Part 2?, online fans realized that the showing
of “Bounty” after that episode doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.''.'

I'm gonna go watch the episode now!
