Default The evil of off-topic posts

The present flurry of activity in this group on the subject of the TV
licence is quite deplorable. This is an administrative matter rather than a
technical one and has no place in a technical newsgroup. I feel strongly
that posts should be absolutely totally on topic at all times, otherwise we
will all go to hell in a handcart. I challenge anyone to find a post of mine
that is not completely pertinent to technical matters relating to digital
TV, and I implore you all to follow my excellent example.

Quite right, except that the little pig could claim that, collectively, we
would require more than one handcart to transport us all to Hell.

No, I lay there for hours, but I was feeling so upset about all the off
topic posting that there was no chance of nodding off. I just had to get it
off my chest, so in the end I got up and posted my message.
