If it does support pro logic, you can get pseudo surround sound. The
receiver will basically take a 2 channel audio signal and matrix it into 5.1. The results are ok, but obviously nothing near real 5.1. I've used pro logic in the past. The biggest differences are much less localization of sound and the fact that sound is constantly coming out of all speakers, vs. only specific speakers (depending on the sound localization in 5.1) Pro logic isn't great, but it's obviously better than nothing wrote in message oups.com... i have a sony prologic home theatre in a box, it only has an left and right input for sound and a component and s video for video. With just L and R inputs is it imposible to get surround sound on anything but the built in dvd. |

Most home theaters in a box (HTiB) don't have much in the way of inputs.
Even high end ones will only have 1.. wrote in message oups.com... i have a sony prologic home theatre in a box, it only has an left and right input for sound and a component and s video for video. With just L and R inputs is it imposible to get surround sound on anything but the built in dvd. |
