I just realised, you have (or had) a Thunderace, what are they like to
live with on a daily basis? I'm tall at 6' 3" & my height gives me
problems on most sporty type bikes. I'm after a another ZZR or an Ace
(I hate the name Thunderace, it's daft!)

Mine was a 600cc Thundercat rather than the more stupidly named ace , and
I found it a very comfortable bike to ride.
I'm 6ft2 and find most modern sportsbikes ridiculously uncomfortable. They
are just far too small and cramped and make me feel like I'm hanging over
the front wheel.

Me too. I've given up bikes for similar reason. I'm 4ft2.

Hi Nige,

Bit of a late post I know but I haven't been here for @ 18 months or so...

Did you get a bike sorted?

I have a Thunderace (or if you prefer YZF1000R) and it is probably the most
underrated bike I have ever owned.

It's a terrific machine and the most fun I've had for the 2900 I paid for it
as an 8000 mile, one owner mint example back in 2003

Costs 180 quid a year to insure fully comp, power output almost that of an
R1 but not like riding on a knife edge :-)

Kind regards,
-=pp=-
