Did a well known Comedian die recently?
Apparently, it was on the T.V!

Charlie Drake died recently.

I wonder if you are thinking about Benny Hill. He died on April 21st, in
either 1991 or 1992. There was one tribute programme, a few days ago, on
Channel 4 called "Is Benny Hill Still Funny" which looked at a piece of
market research done on his show which tested if people unfamiliar with his
work thought it was funny or not. Also on ITV1 this morning (New Year's
Day) at 09:30, there was a repeat of a 2001 show called "The Unforgettable
Benny Hill" which was a half hour show looking at his life, mostly, and a
little of his work, with contributions from Bob Monkhouse (RIP) and others
that knew him.
