Will a Dual LNB (19°/13°) work with an old 80cm Analogue "Sky" Dish (Astra 1, 19°)?

Default Will a Dual LNB (19°/13°) work with an old 80cm Analogue "Sky" Dish (Astra 1, 19°)?

I have an old 80cm analogue "Sky" dish, still working with analogue LNB
pointing at 19° E, and I want to upgrade it to digital without moving the
dish. Will a Dual LNB for Astra 19° and Hotbird 13° work with this dish?
(For example, the Metronic Dual LNB sold by Maplin in the UK.)

The distance between the Astra and Hotbird LNB's on the Metronic is fixed,
so I guess it only works on a dish of a particular focal length, and it
won't work if the length of the LNB arm is not right. Does this length vary
much between different dishes of around 80cm size? If I try the Metronic
19°/13° LNB in place of the old analogue LNB on my Sky analogue dish, will
it work, or will I be disappointed?

The installation diagram shows the 19° LNB in the central position, and the
13° LNB in the offset position, which is encouraging as it means I should
not have to move the old dish which is centred on 19.2° already.

I've tried a Comag camping system with a much smaller 39cm dish on the same
digital receiver as the one I'll be using, and had successful results on all
Hotbird channels. This suggests to me that there may be enough signal level
to spare with Hotbird to get away with using an offset LNB on an 80cm dish
even though the dish is pointing at the wrong satellite. Am I correct?

It may work but you would probably find it easier to use a "bolt-on"
second LNB and clamp. This will allow you to adjust the position of
the second LNB to suit your dish without altering the dish position
itself.

How would I connect to a "bolt-on" second LNB? There's only one cable, and
the Metronic Dual LNB has only one socket. Do I have to buy a weatherproof
diseqc switch, or would the "bolt-on" second LNB have 2 connectors to feed
through from the first LNB?

Yes, you would use a switch.
