I bought a Magnavox LCD TV
http://www.amazon.com/Magnavox-20MF5.../dp/B000FBF248 for my brother in law in Costa Rica. Going down this thursday with it for Xmass. It's a tv but has a VGA input in the back. Can he use this for a computer monitor easily? I mean does it need a driver for the PC to recognize the LCD TV or should Windows XP figure it out easily. It's 4:3 Standard Aspect Ratio and 640X480 resolution. Any specifics I should know to avoid time and drama in figuring this out down there would greatly be appreciated. John in Boston |

Get you're money back, add $50 to it and get him this or something similar. https://www.appliancebestbuys.com/sh...s.asp?Sku=323V Search a while and you might find one even cheaper. I wouldn't give you a dime for a monitor with only 640x480 res. -- Want the ultimate in free OTA SD/HDTV Recorder? http://mythtv.org http://mysettopbox.tv/knoppmyth.html Usenet alt.video.ptv.mythtv My server http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/cpu.php HD Tivo S3 compared http://wesnewell.no-ip.com/mythtivo.htm |
