I have just bought a Sharp 32" Widescreen LCD HDTV (LC32SH20U) and I
seem to be having problems with getting the colours correct. There seems to be inconsistency between the different channels. I thought digital was supposed to correct that problem or is it only corrected with HD? Also, I am having a big problem with the reds looking completely incorrect. Is this something common with Sharp HDTVs or is it because my model is not top-of-the-line? Is this a calibration problem or is it a defect/build in design problem? Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

I have a Sharp 32 CA4Y LCD TV and have no problems with colours and did not need to calibrate it. I also do not notice any difference in picture quality between the channels(except difference between standard definition and high definition broadcasts). How is your source hooked up? In the set up for the sharp for each input you tell it what the input source is (component, composite or S-video etc). |

I bought a Sharp Aquos 32" last October and am also fighting with color issues. In my case I have too much of a greenish tint. Even though I purchased and used the alignment tool, DVE, I coudldn't resolve the problems. And just like you, I notice a large variation in color between programs - as an example: 'CSI Miami' has a noticeable reddish tint compared to other programs on the same channel. -=tom=- |

It always looks like they shot it inside a jukebox. For more realistic color try House or Num3ers. From time to time the HD channel transmits a fifteen minute program of test signals which is highly useful. |
