Default Recording on Freeview

Hi,

I seem to be having problems recording on Freeview, the picture is fine
but the sound on some VCR tapes is good to start with then goes down
whilst others have no sound at all, any ideas?

Alan

Try new tapes?

Or better still, invest in a PVR if possible.

You need to give a bit more information to get useful answers.

What equipment are you using, iDVCR or a seperate STB and VCR?
Do you loose sound when you are watching DTV directly?
How are they connected to each other and/or the TV, modulator or all scart?

What happens if you record analogue channels (or from an analogue
source) using the VCRs tuner? Same problem, then it likely to be the
VCR mechanism, worn or misaligned or perhaps damaged tapes. You may get
more help from a VCR newsgroup, DTV tends to work or not, rather than
have graded problems like 'sound going down'
