SKY STEREO PROBLEMS

I am not able to get stereo sound through my Phillips TV whilst
watching through Sky digibox. I have connected with a Scart & system
settings are set to stereo in digibox. I saw a thread posted back in
2001 with same problem but couldn't see the answer. Can anyone help?

When in the audio setting is the volume turned up, and did you go to last
item and save the settings?

Have you tried a different scart?

Any menus in the TV to set?

THANKS DAVID, YES HAVE REPLACED WITH NEW MONSTER SCART CABLE. I WILL
LOOK IN TV SETTINGS AGAIN BUT WHEN LAST LOOKED I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING
THAT LOOKED WRONG.

Dumb question. Is your TV set in AV/SCART mode, or set to an UHF channel
for the sky box output?

When you say you can't get stereo sound from Sky, do you actually mean the
sound is in mono, or do you mean that the stereo light or indicator doesn't
come on?

THANKS BOTH, HOW DO I CHECK "Is your TV set in AV/SCART mode, or
set to an UHF channel for the sky box output?", AND THE Q FROM RAY,
IT'S SHOWING MONO & IS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT SOUND TO WHEN WATCHING
THROUGH TERRESTRIAL (NOT THAT I DO BUT DID FOR COMPARISON) WHICH SHOWS
STEREO etc.
