I want to hang my new plasma TV on the wall. Behind the wall is a closet
where I wish to store the components. The issue is that with the components stored behind the wall the remote control will not engage the components. Is there a way to overcome such an issue? Can a wire be run from the components to an area where the remote can "see" it (I see nothing on the back of the components for such a setup)? It seems all of the components need a line of sight to work. Thanks for any suggestions! JW |

It works (I am not related in any way with the comapnay). This extender allows me to control any/everything on the receiver, even though the receiver is in my attic. Very nice, except that it hiccups once in a while due to interferance on the frequency. The battery which lasts for months is rechargable, and a spare is always charging. I send the video abd audio via coax cables to a RadioShack modulator to channel 125, and then insert it into my cable feed for the house.... works awsomely. The nicest thing though, is that the extender does not require a "sending unit" in the room of use. Most (all?) other extenders require a sending unit in the room you are in, to re-send the IR signal as an RF signal. With this one, I can walk around the house (anywhere), and still change channels on any TV in the house (I have many TV's). The transmitter is actually inside the battery used in the original handheld remote unit. You just supplant one of the batteries with the transmitter and small battery. Works with almost any remote.
