Default HDTV Tuner with a PC LCD Monitor?

I have a HDTV Tuner. Will it work with a 20" widescreen PC LCD Monitor
(1680x1050 pixel w/ DVI & VGA input)? Will the picture be streched to
fill up the screen? Or letter box?

Thanks!

As long as it has a dvi or vga ouput or can use an apdapter.

Will the picture be streched to fill up the screen? Or letter box?

Depends on how you set it.

Why don't you just plug it in and see what happens?

The HD tuner should have settings where you can tell it that you have a
widescreen display, and it will diplay in the proper aspect ratio.

It's not really the proper aspect ratio -- 1680:1050 is really 16:10,
and not 16:9 ... My HDTV receiver (tuner) does not have an option to
tell it that the TV is 16:10 ... I guess worst-case he might have to
live with a *slight* stretching...
