I hate that stupid anticipatory crap function on fast forward and
rewind. Any way to disable it? I want the damn thing to stop where I stop it. It keeps thinking I went too far and backs up or forwards past where I want to be. Then it gets ****ing confused when I back up again and stop it puts me right back where I started. It is a really suckey feature. -- If you want to win a war you have to be worse than the enemy. Nice guys come home in a box. America wants it's soldiers to be nice guys. What kind of support is that? Kickass Joe |

Stopping with the Pause button avoids the compensating jump. |

It is a really suckey feature. Maybe it's just right if you get drunk enough :-) They should, or at least provide an OPTION for it. Another annoyance (at least on the HR10-250) is that you can be watching a recorded show, and view the guide (maybe someone called and asked what channel "CSI" was on tonight). The machine (rather rudely) switches to viewing live TV and fails to switch back afterward. Since the HR10-250 is so slow, you have to spend much time watching something you don't want, rather than something you do, then press more buttons to undo the mess. -- 35 days until the winter solstice celebration Mark Lloyd http://notstupid.laughingsquid.com "I have found Christian dogma unintelligable. Stopping with the Pause button avoids the compensating jump. Last time I tried that workaround, it was no help at all. Now it's time to try it again. Still wrong. While fast forwarding a show at highest speed, I pressed PAUSE at the 15-minute mark. It still said 15. I then pressed PLAY. The TiVo stupidly jumped back to 14 before playing. -- 35 days until the winter solstice celebration Mark Lloyd http://notstupid.laughingsquid.com "I have found Christian dogma unintelligable. Each of them stops immediately with the Pause button and doesn't "jump back" when resuming Play. Does your DVR "jump" when the Pause button is pressed twice? |

We have a Comcast (now Time Warner) supplied Motorola DVR and that function is missing from the Motorola box. It is one of the things we miss a lot from the Tivo. We waste a lot of time now because of the absence of that function. |
