Perhaps you could ponder where your idea came from that it would cost
extra money? In this scenario, the bandwidth freed up is given to the
remaining channels, who then use it by reconfiguring their broadcast
equipment.


And it's that simple. Merely a press of a key...

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but some broadcasters ain't even got 16:9
cameras yet.
