Default NTL £5.50/month package

Can anyone on the £5.50/month (£16.50 inc. phone line) NTL package confirm
what channels are available in addition to the ones on the free pack? NTL's
website seems to give some conflicting info!

Does this package include Living/Bravo?

Thanks in advance

Assuming it's the same as Telewest's basic package then yes they do.
Although TW say that you don't get Bravo I've been receiving it for a
few months now. Worth it for [adult swim]. As for Living, it's only
Living 1 and not the other channels.

Thanks! I don't suppose these channels are transmitting 16:9 programmes
yet?!

I don't think they do, they seem to go into another ratio when I
switch to them, despite having told both my telly and my set-top to
display in 16:9. Grrrr.

Mostly stretched 4:3 with a very few progs having black bars.

Same goes for FX, Sci-Fi and Hallmark. Not sure how these channels expect
to be taken seriously.

Shame really. I was gonna think about subscribing but if they can't show
progs properly what's the point.
