I am hoping to connect my 12" PowerBook G4 (1 GHz) to my
newly-purchased 26" Samsung LCD TV. The Samsung Manual says I need a "D-Sub Cable" to the PC IN connector on the TV. I also need a PC Audio cable for the audio. My PowerBook has a Mini-DVI port and came with a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter and a Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter. Apparently there is also a Mini-DVI to Video Adapter sold separately, which supports composite video and S-Video connections, but I would prefer something that fits the "PC IN Connector" on the TV which is a 15-pin socket. What is a good source for a "D-Sub Cable" and what sort of adapter do I need to hook my PB to this cable. Many thanks -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

Many thanks VGA uses the 15-pin D-Sub connector, so the Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter and a VGA cable should work. |

Many thanks -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com When I connected my G4 PowerBook to my Sony CRT HD set I used DVI-HDMI. The picture quality was not good. But then I got to connect it to my buddy's 45" Sharp Aquos LCD set and WOW! What an incredible picture. For that set-up I used DVI all the way to his set. I have not tried DVI to VGA. justsc |
