There's actually some good stuff on the BBC HD channel. Nature series
like Planet Earth, Deep Blue and Galapagos are shown. Many new BBC
series are in HD and a smattering of sport (e.g. home England Euro 2004
qualifiers, tennis etc).

For someone without satellite, £260 for a freeview HD box (Sky, or
non-Sky such as Humax or Pace) is worth getting for all the Freesat
channels and BBC HD IMHO.

Everyone thought things were fantastic when Monochrome went to colour but
we still got the same old stuff, Same as mono to Stereo did'nt make the
music any better quality!!

In the late 70s, I can remember watch Star Trek TOS and season 1 of Blakes 7
on a Black and White VHF TV set. I also remember the 1981 Royal Wedding in
black and white.

How does someone "nick" a BBC HD image?

You forget, the BBC is "free". The Licence Fee is a fee to use equipment
according to your side's fud, and it does not entitle one to any quality of
service or reception. ROFL.

Static graphics are pin-sharp on my SD plasma so unlikely to be sharper
in HD. The difference, I assume, is best observed in moving images,
camera pans, etc.

Where does one cash this in? With Sky themselves? Cant see any mention
of it anywhere. I thought it was (originally) limited to Sony Bravia
TVs?
