Default VisionDTV missing channels

Hi,

I'm set up with the aerial plugged into my processor, but I don't seem
to have the option of BBC3, E4, More4, etc. (i.e. some good freeview
channels) through my card. Is there a reason for this? Is there a site
detailing all the relevant bandwidths and frequencies that I could just
add to the channel list?

Thanks,

Aleik.

You aerial might not be responding to all the muxes available,

Where do you live, and what transmitter are you using ?

What sort of aerial is it, indoors, loft, or outside ?

How old is your aerial ?

Is the feed from it direct, or shared with other TVs etc ?

You could try to add them manually, but it's almost certainly not
worth it. The software which comes with all DTT cards (except, I
think, the Nebula) meets the *international* standards for DTT but
knows nothing at all about the UK's MHEG system. This means that the
software will only recognise a channel when it is actually
broadcasting. Try scanning again this evening.

Having said that, this doesn't explain why you're not seeing E4, which
is on 24 hours a day. E4 and More4 are on Multiplex 2, so you could be
having reception issues, as Mark has suggested, though BBC3 is on
Mux 1 so you should get it of you can get BBC1 and BBC2. It could be a
mixture of reception quality and timing of your scans.

Turns out I didn't know how to scan, but I've sorted it now. Thanks for
bringing that to my attention and for all your other suggestions guys.

Aleik.
