Sold for £20.

Thanks to all the smart-arses with their unfunny and puerile comments - get
back to your colouring books boys!

Something's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

If you add onto that the cost of shipping, the buyer
gets a pretty poor deal compared to buying a modern
receiver from a real manufacturer.

You have done well, but there is one born every minute
Amstrad digiboxes are not the most desirable to anyone
who understands technology.

That's the power of advertising for you.

Well Mike, we all *could* xpost adverts to lots of newsgroups whose
Charters forbid them, but most of us chose *not* to do so.
The reason?
Nothing to do with being Killfiled or ISP sanctions,
its this.

Don't knock 'em - the 400 was one of Amstrads better products, more
sensitive than most Pace and Grundig Sky boxes, and good audio
quality.

I picked up a refurbished one complete with Sky dish and LNB for £40
at an amateur radio rally last year and installed it for my
father-in-law (who lives in a particularly poor TV signal part of
Sheffield.) Superb picture, stable, and no pixelation no matter what
the weather.

And so it should be as the signal is optimised for the UK
- I don't think any of the digiboxes suffer from bad audio
however pace boxes are well made and some models work
very well in more marginal areas than Sheffield.

I would not dream of knocking anything made by Amstrad in
case it fell to bits, and there was nobody to repair it.

You've never owned a Grundig GDS200, then?
