no the macrovision only comes when you try and output it to a tape.

only tape or dvd too? The old macrovision I recall was like a pulsing
to the image. I thought what they were discussing here was a digital
block, the kind which comes up saying "You can't record this as it is
secured" or some such crap.

Last Thursday & early Sunday it failed.
On Sunday evening I tried taping manually.
$ky3 was still failing. $ky1 & 2, BBC etc were fine.
By failing I mean brightness cycling up & down every 2 seconds or so &
losing sync.
If I see this again I'll try the other $ky box I have.

thats macrovision then. I wonder if someone has just made a mistake at Sky
on a few episodes? Wouldnt be the first time.
