Default 8300HD HDMI Sound Setup On Time Warner

Just got the box home. Found out that TV & box must be off. Connect HDMI cable from box to TV. Then press and hold power on box until boot appears. Wait until clock shows. Then turn on TV and make sure HDMI input is selected on TV. Then turn on box and wait until the On Demand screen shows. Then go into settings and select A for more options. Then choose audio output and it will now have HDMI in the list along with Dolby Digital and 2 channel. Select HDMI and your now set up for HDMI on Time Warner.

Yes, you're set up for HDMI audio output, but those who
have last generation AV receivers will want the "Dolby
Digital" setting, so they can use the 8300 optical
digital output instead of HDMI.
