Default Planned Recordings Gone From Planner?

Noticed last night that all my future recordings on my Sky HD had
disappeared. Don't remember the box crashing or any power-cut.

Is it just one of those things that we have to live with, with Sky+ or
is it a fault? Oh, the joys of trying to remember all the recordings I'd
set and having to set up all the series links again.

I'd happily pay double the cost of the Sky HD box for an a HD TiVo.

Yes it is a fault and yes you just have to live with it.

Only time all my recordings vanished without any effort on my part (as
opposed to were erased after housekeeping, due to soem strange behaviour) ,
it was a dead hard disk. It may indicate the OPs HD is on the way out. Pity
he didnt have a Tivo, as I understand from reading here that they are immune
from hardware failures.

Wouldn't you think that they could use the extra £10 per month that Sky
plus users pay to fix things like this? ;-)

Oh, I've got a TiVo too. Can't bear to part with it :-)

Sky+ seems to be OK since. I didn't actually lose any recordings as
such, just the upcoming planned recordings, so not a disaster, just a
bloody nuisance having to reschedule them all.

He didn't lose any recordings: just upcoming schedules.

You're wrong about that too. They are a lot more reliable than the
Sky+ though.
