Default Possible to get free to view channels through redundant sky dish?

There's a sky dish on the roof of the building connected to the flat
I'm in. I'm using a Humax PVR box, with rubbish reception on an indoor
ariel.

Is it possible to use the old Sky dish to receive good digital
reception?

Any help MUCH appreciated!

Probably. You'll need a Sky (or similar) STB, plus a viewing card for
channel 4 and 5 (I think) and a few others that are sent across encrypted.

Sell the Humax.

Get a Sky box with a Freeview card in it from EBay.

Get a Sky box with a **Freeview** card in it from EBay.

Careful Bill, the guy sounds confused enough as it is.

A better approach would be to fit a Yagi to the dish bracket and
use the feeder from the LNB to your flat.

I'd imagine the residents of the other flats who use the dish might notice!

I was rather assuming that the statement "There's a sky dish on the roof
of the building connected to the flat I'm in" meant it was only
connected to that flat.
