Default Humax PVR-9200T - Widescreen Signalling

I bought a PVR-9200T a couple of weeks ago - it was at Vx.4 and updated
itself to Vx.6. It has generally worked fine, but a few days ago it
stopped signalling widescreen to the TV, both on off-air and recorded
video. I am not sure whether the TV looks for pin 8 or line 23
signalling. A reboot fixed the problem, but this evening it happened again.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I too have this problem.
Invariably. my TV when switched on, it comes up in 4:3 when selected to
the Humax input.
Sometimes, the TV also switches from WS-4:3-WS momentarily.
It never did this with my previous DTT box.

The DVD player on the other Scart input doesn't do this and I have tried
swapping the inputs around with no joy.
I have also tried cutting pin 8 but that made no difference.

FWIW no problem here with same (latest) s/w (and an "all pins connected"
SCART lead in case that might make a difference).

Purchased my 9200 a month ago and the screen switching works better than
the Labgear Setpal it replaced (always had to set auto on the TV before).

The only problem I get is that if I put the 9200 in two standby I have
to put the TV back into auto switching mode by the remote. This
regardless of whether I switch both off and very the switch on order.

My only problem is the ghosting but I believe I can remove a pin on the
scart cable to fix this.

Yes, a few people reported it on http://www.hummy.org.uk

Related symptoms include instant startup from standby with full EPG,
i.e it does not go into standby properly. It may also be related to
the "thinks it's still recording" bug.

One possible trigger is setting the Humax to record a program before
one that is already scheduled.

As you note, cycling power is the only way to clear it. If it
persists then try clearing your recording schedule.
