'hor pol'?

I'm guessing (from the context) that it's short for hor(izontal)
pol(arisation), a reference to the orientation of the antenna elements.

And I'm guessing that the query might be because relays are usually VP.

Since JP's expertise seems to be "The rules of English Grammar and
Spelling" (rather than digital TV) and his query so brief, it would
appear that our 'guesses' would equally be likely (or unlikely) to be
the truth of the matter.

I just made the most likely guess, (completely forgetting about the ver
pol issue regarding relays). Your guess is as good as mine. :-)

[audience titters but only slightly]

Frankie: "Oh well, suit yourself!"

Later in Frankie's digs:
"I shouldn't have bothered with the 'hor pol' line. It was above their heads
you know, above their heads! They're as common as muck on that newsgroup! It
was pearls before swine!"
"Oh come to bed Frank, love! They're not worth your angst!"

There's quite a few north facing aerials in the Bloomsbury (Russell

b) On Sandy Heath
c) Getting CP off of a major reflection somewhere ?

Also wondered this. Most are quad X design, and it's quite hard to tell what
group they are.

There were more than a few using Hannington in the area behind Imperial
College halls of residence (off Princes Gardens/Rutland Gate/Exhibition
Road) in South Kensington.

Shhhhhhhh, don't tell Meridian, they'll start covering stories in that area
if they find out !

I see BBC South have started pretending Bridport is in their area, by giving
that horrific stabbing incident in the town extensive coverage.

I've missed that, now being a resident of West Midlands land.

That is quite some patch. North Oxfordshire through to West Dorset and
Brighton! Searching Wolfbane using DX reception and a 15m high receiving
aerial still gives the only options in Bridport as Bridport, Stockland Hill
or Rampisham all of which xmit BBC1 SW! They're obviously copying the
Meridian role model for world domination.

We're on holiday in Ventnor next week, so I'm looking forward to seeing the
shiny Dineage dome!

Did they ever re-open the railway tunnel to Ventnor?

Thanks - have a good hol.
I may even look it up for myself on the Interweb in the meantime, if I
can drag myself away from this astonishingly good digital reception from
Ridge Hill transmitter.
(The novelty value of good reception is offset somewhat by the inverse
novelty value of the broadcast content. Sigh.)
