Default Freeview for free - allegedly. Needs a close looks at T&C?

Saw this advert on gmail:
"freeview4free.co.uk - We're giving away freeview Join now for free!"

Lots of the word free there, takes you to:
http://www.freeview4free.co.uk/index.php

"Just give us your name details to get your box" - hmmm, I wonder what the
terms are?

--------------------------------------------------
http://www.freeview4free.co.uk/terms.php
We reserve the right to change the products or offers at any time, for any
reason.
You must provide genuine details when joining freeview4free and validate
your email address. If any details are entered incorrectly your account will
be closed and any sims earned will be forfeited.
Sim cards are sent individually or together depending on the amount earned.

http://www.freeview4free.co.uk/faq.php
How long does it take for you to send my Freeview 4 Free?
As soon as you have ordered your Sim/s from the members' area the delivery
time can be anything up to 2 weeks

http://www.freeview4free.co.uk/aboutus.php
Easy Affiliate Ltd offers UK residents the chance to obtain a new absolutely
Freeview 4 Free through its popular web-site, freeview4free. All you have to
do is apply for offers on this web-site, build up eligible points, and then
await the arrival of your Freeview 4 Free within 7 working days.
--------------------------------------------------

Just interesting that they don't say HOW many points are needed!
It also says "its popular website": hmmm....
link:ww.freeview4free.co.uk

No-one links to, from, or mentions it anywhere.

And, er, I thought this was a freeview box, so why do they keep mentioning
SIMS.

Anyone know any more about this? Not that I'm thinking of bothering - I just
like to get to the bottom of things!

I wondered that too. Presumably after loosing all your friends by
badgering them to join up you may just have enough points for a free
mobile phone SIM card.

The networks give away free SIM cards, anyway, from time to time.

Virgin currently have an offer at http://www.virginmobilefreesim.com/.

And Vodafone have a SIM offer at
http://v-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseaction=sim_only.viewSimOnly. The
PAYG SIMs were free until recently.

With Freeview boxes only costing about 25 quid, is Freeview For Free
worth the pain and effort?

Looks like yet another derivation to get mail addresses and idiots to
click buttons on sites for junk they don't need.

The Vodafone SIMs will be free again sometime soon.

They're effectively free now, you pay £2 but get £2 credit.

True, but every few weeks they offer them for £0 and you still get £2
credit.

But even better value when you pay nothing and still get 2 quid credit.
