Default Digibox / NoSat..

If I connect a digibox (Amstrad DRX300) to power and the TV via the
'TV' scart connector, then power on, should I see something on the TV?

(i.e. no sat. cable connected and no card in the box..)

I'd have expected a setup screen of some sort. Have I just got a duff
box, or does it require a working dish and/or card?

Yes you should. You should see a blue and yellow box with text in it.

Have you switched the TV to A/V before doing this??

Yup - though I only tried briefly at lunchtime. Will de-tangle cables
and retry this evening.

You need to give it two or three minutes to boot up, after initial mains switch on.

Connect to the mains, the standby lamp should come up red, but there will be no
response from the remote, or front panel controls. Leave it alone for at least
three mins, then switch on, either with the remote, or the front panel button.
The standby lamp should turn green, and you should get an output.
