TVGOS not working with HDTV in Victoria, BC

Hi, I hope someone may know how to resolve this issue...

I have a 55" Hitachi plasma TV, model 55HDT52 that has the Gemstar TV
Guide On-Screen (TVGOS) built-in.
I subscribe to Shaw High-Definition TV. The TV is hooked up to the
Motorola DCT2600HD Set-top box bought from Shaw.
TVGOS was working fine before I upgraded my set-top box from DCT2500 to
DCT6200HD, so I know that TVGOS circuitry inside the TV is ok.
I cannot get TVGOS to work, no matter how hard I try, used diagnostic
code 753159852 to look at setting (HOST-CHAN is empty) and even did the
TVGOS hard reset 653274147 to no avail. I also re-typed all my settings,
postal code, country, etc...

Shaw Cable Tech Support are trying to be helpful, but they don't know
what to do either. They seem to be under the impression that Motorola is
at fault. Maybe they are, I don't know. They say they have no control
over the VBI (Vertical Blanking Interval) piggybacked on the PBS signal
by Gemstar. I searched everywhere to get as much info as I could on the
technology. No luck finding a solution.

My question is:

Does anybody in the Victoria, BC using Shaw Cable in High-Def have a
working TV with TVGOS?
Please post how you managed to get it working or if you think I may have
missed something.
What PBS channel is you HOST-CHANNEL?
