Two years ago we tried to spankin'-new HD cable box/PVRs (Scientific
Atlanta and Pace) and wound up having Time-Warner revert us to a non-PVR box due to picture and glitch issues. With football season coming up the itch is back to have a PVR with the cable box. Have they improved significantly since mid-'04, and, assuming so, what model/brand should we request from TWC? Thanks JGM |

What's a PVR? Are you referring to a DVR or have I missed something? As to DVRs the ones by Charter are not that great. The ones from Dish (Dual tuner and HD recording - 622) and Direct TV (TVio) are pretty good. JGM I have the SA8300HD from TW and it's been great. No problems so far. When my SA8300HD works, it's great. However, in February or March local TWC office did a remote software upgrade and since then I've had intermittent HDMI/HDCP errors upon initial power-on. After reboot, things are fine. -- Rob £¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤øø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤øø¤º°`° º¤¤º°`°º¤£ |
