Default Wrong itv region on Sky 103

Where we live (GU32 postcode, East Hampshire) we receive "itv Meridian
South" on analogue and Freeview from the Midhurst or Rowridge transmitters.
It has news and ads from Hampshire on it.

However, Sky channel 103 carries "itv Meridian South East" with news from
Kent and adverts for carpet warehouses near Eastbourne. All this is
irrelevant.

The correct South region is available on satellite but only through the 'add
channels' procedure which is a nuisance.

We've contacted Sky who say it's up to itv which postcodes get which region.
And we've contacted itv who ask us to talk to Sky. It's a total Horlicks so
what can we do next, other than watch the BBC for local news.

Tell Sky you have moved to a house in the area which should receive
Meridian South. :-)

It's a complete balls-up by ITV and Sky.
I live in York, 35 miles away from Yorkshire Televisions HQ in Leeds. Yet I
am assigned to Tyne Tees Television in Newcastle. Newcastle is about 90
miles away in Northumberland and seperated from Yorkshire by Co Durham!
It seems to defy all common sense that the capital of Yorkshire is not
served by YTV!
Why we can't have a region of our own choosing quite defeats me.

ITV has contracts which say that will show specific adverts in specific
areas. :-(

The BBC lets you watch what you want.

ITV have cocked this up in many parts of the country. I hardly ever watch
ITV so it doesn't bother me.

It is ITV who are at fault, the database they provide Sky with is
inaccurate.
