Default OTA: Summer vs Winter?

Has anyone noticed a difference in OTA reception between Summer and
Winter? I wonder if leaves on trees in the summer disrupt the signal
more than Winter reception.

I notice a difference when the leaves get wet and then sway in the
wind. I need to get the antenna higher but getting higher than the
trees at my house isn't practical. I wonder if parallel antennas would
be worth the trouble. Are there any diversity TV receivers?

Yes, and I'm debating asking my neighbor to trim his trees which are
protruding over the property line. It's not real bad yet, but I'm afraid
it might get that way even though I installed the antenna as far away from
them as possible.

I live in Florida, and every time there is a lightning strike within 50
miles of me, there is a momentary sound dropout and picture freeze. In
Florida, I can't watch a show because of this about once a month. So
annoying!

Hi G-squared,

The only diversity DTV receivers I've seen [on the net] are ones that were
specifically designed for COFDM mobile reception in Europe, specifically
Berlin. Why exactly they would be even remotely suggested is a mystery to
me.
