OK -- today; I noticed there was a "lost" episode on -- I went to it in teh
guide and pressed "select" -- "Record as scheduled?" popped up; so I said yes; and went back to live tv.... Later; I came back an dit was NOT recording lost . If there's a season pass -- will it always say "record as planned" even if that episode is not scheduled to be recorded for some reason? Also; is there any circumstances where tivo will change the channel on it's own? We *never* watch espn -- yet for some reason it was on espn today for some stupid show we marked with 3 thumbs down (it was recording it as a 'suggestion' previously) -- yet; nothing was recorded on espn today.. so tivo must have switched to it for no reason.... --- AntiSpam/harvest --- Remove X's to send email to me. |

Also; is there any circumstances where tivo will change the channel on it's own? Could it have recorded a suggestion and then deleted the suggestion to make room for another recording? This would make it change channels yet you would not end up with a recording. I don't think it ever changes channels for no reason. -- This is my .sig |

This doesn't make sense to me, assuming it was the same episode of Lost you were talking about above. If there's a season pass -- will it always say "record as planned" even if that episode is not scheduled to be recorded for some reason? Not in my observation, although last-minute schedule changes can change plans. Also; is there any circumstances where tivo will change the channel on it's own? Yes: suggestions, and video clips for some of the items that show up on the main menu. We *never* watch espn -- yet for some reason it was on espn today for some stupid show we marked with 3 thumbs down (it was recording it as a 'suggestion' previously) -- yet; nothing was recorded on espn today.. so tivo must have switched to it for no reason.... The video clips don't show up on the Now Playing list. Gordon L. Burditt |

Yes, it reported that someone had changed season pass options -- which isn't true. If there's a season pass -- will it always say "record as planned" even if that episode is not scheduled to be recorded for some reason? No, it doesn't work that way. weird -- I just checked another show. "record only new" and this episode was a rerun -- hit "select" and "record as planned?" came up. Does the program episode in question have a detailed description, or something generic? When TiVo can't accurately tell if an episode is new or rerun it plays it safe and records it anyhow. If updated data is received between when you checked it (and it was generic, therefore being recorded on the better safe than sorry principal) but later on newer data told TiVo it was a repeat, then that would be the change indicated in the history. It's a poorly worded history report. The "someone" who made a change was the guide data provider. |

Specific show title. It's a poorly worded history report. The "someone" who made a change was the guide data provider. I'll have to look at the history more.
