I have had my plasma t.v. about a month now, and a light horizontal
line has appeared accross the screen. Very distracting, and not to be expected for what I paid. I repair man is schedulted to come out from Circuit City. Still under warranty. Has anyone out there experienced a similar problem? Cause? Suggested cure? |

Is the "light horizontal line" a solid line on the screen that does not move? If it is still there after you have unplugged the TV for a cold reset, then you have made the right move to call the repair man. OTOH, if you have a shaded horizontal line that rolls up or down the screen, then you very likely have a ground loop problem. The TV, one of the A/V boxes, or the input cable/satellite coaxial RF line is either poorly grounded or tied to a different reference ground. Ground problems are common with cable RF lines. Alan F |

HarveyB wrote: I called for repairs. He called Panasonic. They said it was a defective circuit board. Circuit City replaced the T.V. promptly under warranty. Thank you all for your suggestions. Alan F My TH-42PH50U is having a problem- a discolored horizontal line accross the middle of the scree about 2 pixels tall. Was your line something like this? |

Forgot to ask, did you have the Circuit City Warranty or was tihs done under the Panasonic Warranty only? Replacement was done by Circuit City, since I had only had it for 1 month. |
