Default FilmFour free on Sky?

Has anyone confirmed whether FimFour will be free (FTA or FTV) on Sky when
it launches on Freeview in July?

Don't want a repeat of the E4/More 4 situation...

That site doesn't make it clear whether it will be FTA or FTV even though
they use the term 'free to air' I suspect it will be free to view as,
Channel 4, currently is.

We had a fiasco with E4 in 2001 and now new-improved-DOG-free MORE4 being
"free to air" to Sky subscribers only.

I will believe it when I see it!

I shall be personally writing a letter of thanks to Andy Duncan if FilmFour
appears DOG-free and free-to-air.

We will see if Sky ****s them over.

It looks like it wiill be FTA - they do make it clear on the site that it
will be on freesat.

"How will I receive FilmFour?
The channel will launch on Freeview for the first time and will continue to
be available to all cable and satellite viewers at no additional cost. On
digital satellite, the FilmFour Channel will be available to freesat viewers
as well as Sky digital subscribers. "

I suspect it will be ftv. Freesat meaning FTV, ie card required, sky
box only.

Thats us buggered in Ireland then.

Hurray!

Perhaps a Straw in the Wind for Ch4 and the rest of its channels.

When will FilmFour go free-to-air?
July 2006.

Why is FilmFour going free-to-air?
It is Channel 4's ambition to widen its digital offering, so that a greater
range of programming is available within digital homes.

It definitely says Free To Air :-)

That would mean FTV, not FTA.
